Oscar Grant was a black man that was murdered by a B.A.R.T. police officer in Oakland CA. Mr. Grant was detained with several others on new years day 2009. As Mr. Grant was lying face down on the concrete he was shot once in the back. The scene was captured on cell phone cameras. The officer later stated that he thought he was pulling his taser instead of his gun. Killer Mike is sick of being passive about this brutality in communities

Prisons are overcrowded with non-violent inmates. Most of whom are in jail on drug-related charges. The schools that many children of color attend don’t teach them life skills or help them graduate. Prisoners are then forced to work jobs that they only receive wages of less than a quarter an hour. This is legalized slavery. UNICOR is a government run company that uses inmate labor produce goods for sale.
