Very subtle humor here. There’s a couple of things going on here. First, there’s humor in the fact that an over-the-top, outrageously large explosion was the crew’s “cue” to continue. The massive explosion only kills a handful of zombies.

Secondly, Wray saying “that’s our cue” after JT’s action. JT is the barbecue guy of the bunch. The Bone Shack would be proud.
