Considering Big K.R.I.T is from Mississippi, this line refers to alcoholism. “Shine”, or moonshine, is a hard liquor, when abused it dulls the soul.

Alternative reading: the negative aspects to life are just as important to reflect upon as the positive ones. When you focus on the positive all the time you miss out on a essential part of the human experience and thus your soul becomes more dull.

He is comparing his eventual assassination to either the JFK or Tupac assassinations. The official report of JFK’s death (known as the Magic Bullet Theory) by the Warren Commission had many glaring faults in it. The conspiracy in the next line also refers to this. There is also much mystery surrounding Tupac’s murder regarding governmental cover up. Also, Tupac predicted his assassination several years earlier, hence “my fate is inevitable” in the next line. .

He could also be referring to Fred Hampton who was assassinated by Chicago PD. This is discussed later in the song. He also adds emphasis to “every-BODY” because of the autopsy is of his body. .

Since he was talking about Africa in the line above, these line can remind one about the South African anti-apartheid activist Steven Biko, who died in 1977 due to police brutality while in custody. .

Kendrick also very similarly predicted his own assassination in his verse at the BET 2013 TDE Cypher Freestyle:

“I’m way more polished than 99% of the scholars you thought had graduated, I’m the master that masturbated on your favorite MC until the industry had wanted me assassinated”

This was already said but it fits a lot more that hes talking about Emmett Till here. Emmett’s murder basically Kickstarted the Black’s involvement in the Civil Rights movement.

I could be reaching with this one but the way he says “autopsy” also kinda sounds like “off-topsy”, which would be playing off the whole bullet to the head type of assassination… I kept rewinding to make sure I was hearing correctly but as I said it could be a reach

Also could be referencing RATM’s song “Bullet In The Head” as it came out in 1992 (the same year the Rodney King beating and the L.A. Riots took place.)

Definitely could be talking about the Emmett Till case where his funeral was open casket after he was brutally lynched and murdered in the south for whistling at a white woman in the deep south. Leaving the casket open created a huge buzz and was a turning point in the civil rights movement.
