These lines set up a running theme in my mixtape. Of the decision of settling down and finding a girl who’ll make me happy but may in the future not age well. In other words sacrificing looks for personality. Or living life with multiple girls who will be able to give me instant gratification when I’m older however I’ll end up unhappy.

Saying that I can only trust a girl if I can retaliate against any indiscretions of hers. So when I’m drunk I become more gullible and trusting but also more violent.

Drug reference. I have the mind state that I have to live it up because I might die soon and I’m not trying to crash as in come down from drugs. The second bar ties into the driving fast thing. Even though I’m driving recklessly I have some sense of caution because I don’t want to crash the car and end up in bad situation.

When your souls already corrupted and your in a dark place you can’t see it. You convince yourself everythings all good when really it’s not.

When I used to do a lot of drugs I would stay up for several days on drug binges. After you don’t sleep for a few days your brain forces you into REM sleep while still awake so until you finally fall asleep you may see things you’d normally see while dreaming.
