This part line in this article makes ZERO sense.

In what way does Lose Yourself a song about the struggle of a battle rapper trying to break through the stereotype of being a white rapper, and displaying seering, hardhitting, and down right viscious lyricism, produce the same effect as Lollipop, which is indeed a pop single (it’s even in the title) that that employs lyrics about women performing falatio and partying in a night/strip club.

The answer is it doesn’t. 2 completely different songs, from 2 emcees that are on 2 completely different wavelengths when it comes to writing.

In actuality, MMLP was and still is today one of the greatest hip-hop albums ever made. It’s hardhitting vibe combined with immaculate technical abilities and deep personal subject matter make it one of the most captivating projects ever released.

It was Eminem in his prime, A prime where he was literally untouchable on the mic. MMLP was the second installment of what many deem The Greatest 3 Album Run In Rap History, as supported by a thread created by one great Rap Genius user Ab-Soulstan. In said thread(See Here) the general consensus was that SSLP, MMLP, and The Eminem show are still today, the best three album run in rap history.

On all three albums, Em spits lines that display a writing ability that still goes unmatched today.

Kendrick Lamar is ballin' in pretty much every sense of the word; with him not only making a lot of money, but also doing big things in the music industry. Opening for Kanye West on the Yeezus Tour and being named one of GQ’s men of the year is more evidence of his success.

He’s ballin' so much that he’s liable to tear a hole in the metaphorical basketball. Spalding is known for producing sports equipment, with basketballs being one of their main products.

Tupac is one of Eminem’s biggest influences. You can almost see the spirit of Tupac in the way Em delivers his lyrics, very passionately, with so much energy and emotion. All things that Pac was known for, so when he calls himself “white Pac”, it’s not far from the truth at all.

Eminem also references Tupac many times in his lyrics throughout his career.

Here he compares her getting on top and riding him, to a road trip, perhaps on a mountain road to specific. Maybe it’s similar in the sense that it will be long, wild, little ruff, and a lot of twists and turns.

Besides, Tupac being one of Kendrick’s biggest inspirations musically, once compared this same situation to being like riding a roller coaster.

I’m hitting switches on bitches like I been fixed with hydraulics
Up and down like a roller coaster

He says that she didn’t say that she had a thing with Drake…then responds with “And Lupe?” presumably after she brings Lupe Fiasco’s name up as well.

He then asks her “You wanna lose two legs !?”…implying that he was already going to cut one of her legs off for fucking with Drake, but since she’s been with Lupe too, similarly to one of his victims in Underground, now she has to lose both!.

Just that psychotic slim shady we all know and love.

Em makes a play on words here with the famous saying “People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones”. Since Em is the Kryptonite to hypocrites, he refuses to let his critics call him and others out (“throw stones”) because they aren’t much better than the people they are criticizing.

Em plays with a few more idioms here. Getting “stoned” means getting actual rocks thrown at you in the Biblical sense, but in this case it means getting high off drugs. Since Eminem and his drug addiction was well documented by the media, he might be calling out the media members with drug problems that loved bashing him when he hit his low point. And keeping up with the rock imagery, telling someone to “kick rocks” is basically a polite way of telling them to fuck off.

This could possibly be an underhanded diss at Cage, the underground white rapper that came up around the same time as Em and accused him of stealing his style. He dissed Em multiple times and then got bitter when Em dissed him back then made it big time; he also has a song titled “Kick Rocks”.

Eminem piling his cart with items from the style department in K-Mart is a metaphor for the many different styles he brings to the mic as a rapper. There’s the over-the-top horror-core on tracks like “Kill You”, intricate storytelling like on “Murder, Murder”, upbeat and carefree celebrity bashing on “The Real Slim Shady”, but also serious attempts to deal with fame like on “Sing for the Moment”. His ability to switch styles and bring something new to the mic every time is part of the reason he’s been able to maintain his success this long.

Isaiah Rashad is saying these “Regular Niggas” in the game is always wasting his time. Perhaps that’s why he decided to sign with TDE, to get away from those people who used to waste his time.

“Faking the funk” could be a reference to a song by Main SourceFakin' the Funk. The term “Faking the funk” is used to describe somebody that doesn’t show their true personality, doesn’t keep it real, or pretends to be something they’re not. In the case of some rappers, pretending to be tough or hard when they’re actually soft.

This line depicts an anxious or even nervous Kendrick Lamar pacing back and forth in deep thought, constructing this verse line by line, word by word.

This is really the only moment in this entire verse where Kendrick shows any vulnerability and gives you a peak into his psyche. Amongst this verse which is so well crafted and so precisely hits his antagonists with scathing lyrics, this line still shows the human inside the lyrical beast that is….King Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick must be a fan of Dayton Wire Wheels (“D’s”), which started in Dayton, Ohio, but are popular on the west coast especially with low riders. Kendrick’s thoughts are coming out so fast as he anxiously writes this verse that they’re doing laps around each other as if they’re actually racing.

He also plugs them on My Way with DJ Drama, and on his Tim Westwood Freestyle.
