Wonder if they could, what would stars say or Venus and Mars say
Or say that we want it our way
Stars so desperate to shine that they go on livin’ the hard way
The intellect to travel to Mars but so blind
We worship Venus but she don’t even know who we are
And she never cared why, cuz she wasn’t there Lecrae (Ft. Benjah) – Gotta Know

I rep that three sixteen
That's where I starts so I put my heart into my three sixteens
And I rep that three sixteen
I rep that three sixteen
Yeah that's my home, I'm so stone cold, I'm just so three sixteen
Can I get a hell yeah? Uh-huh, "Hell yeah!"

This section is basically about stars (and he uses real planets, Venus and Mars, as examples) that get caught up in their fame and fortune which may lead to their demise. “Livin' the hard way” might mean getting caught up in drugs & violence. Some people also say that stars are ignorant and blind to regular people who don’t live the high class lives that they do.
I personally see that part as his reflection of his idolizing the streets. Mars is the Roman god of war. When he talks of the travel to Mars, I believe he’s talking about how he spent time on the streets trying to “look for love in the wrong places” (Venus is the goddess of love). He couldn’t find love there because it doesn’t exist in the face of the war mentality of the streets. Venus could also represent the love of his father who was absent from his life (worshiping Venus, but not knowing who he was). And his father didn’t care about his desire to fit in and intermingling with the wrong crowds. Just my thoughts though.
