When you’re number one, or doing it big, life may still have certain difficulties, but it’s “fine” in the sense you have the money and resources to live sufficiently and, likely, live the way you would like. People may also want to hear your voice, whether it be the media or fans. Cam can see these people plus everyone else when he’s at the top (i.e. think of the view of performing on stage).

This is the case regardless of how time progresses; no matter what, you’re eatin'!

“Thirsty Thursday” is a term used by college students that became popular due to not having early classes on Friday, which allows them to drink and party on all Thursday night.

Abel plays with the term here to draw a comparison. This girl is as excited for Thursday to arrive as the college students. So much in fact, that she just can’t wait till then and keeps calling him to see him.

However, Abel requests her to be patient and wait for her time. In the meantime, she should let him be, and she might as well prepare, right?

To fold means to essentially “give up” the round. There’s no chance of winning once you fold as you essentially forfeit your hand.

#Check out the song and its lyrics here.

Released in April, this reflective triple narrative (pairing T.I. with fellow Grand Hustle labelmate B.o.B. and Compton’s own Kendrick Lamar) was intended to appear on T.I.’s eighth studio album Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head. However, sampling issues saved this gem to be included on a future Hustle Gang EP.

The music video sees the narratives each rapper depicts in their verses come to life.

The Boy feels the hit his rep takes, and is probably pissed at Steve for uploading that video as well as at himself for not listening to Naomi’s’s warning (see page 67-68 of the screenplay or read it on RG here).

“Rekt” is a “short” (give or take) form of “wrecked”, meaning annihilated.

Or more in the case of The Boy…
