As a follow up to the two previous lines, i feel it could be an expression of people pretending there is more to a situation or someone’s motivations than they realistic know to be true, like telling a depressed person they should just smile more and think happy thoughts and everything will be fixed. Or rather “shut up be happy”

Further to the comment referencing “Mother” (and recognizing this might be a bit of a stretch), I do find it interesting that he’s now threatening those that engage in “dirty” feelings or activities after he has internalized the shame brought on by his mother in relation to sex. In other words, the target of his wrath is, to some extent, himself (or at least his past self). This seems to reinforce the notion that fascism (or similar types of hatred) are sometimes driven by self-loathing (e.g. vitriolic homophobes who end up being revealed as actually being homosexual themselves). I don’t know if the songwriters wanted to convey this sort of meaning, but do find it interesting…

Mother also refers to the matriarch that acts as a through narrative in The Wall. She shows up at the trial: ‘…please, let me tek 'im 'ome.’

In the movie, it shows a black boy and a white girl having sex in a car. Pink’s mob attack the car, pulling out the black boy, beating him, while one of the Hammerheads goes inside the car and takes his place, so-to-speak. This may not be an anti-sex verse, but rather an anti-race verse.

Cause if they catch you in the backseat trying to pick her locks – is the perfect imagery of what it means to be a horny teenager trying to “figure out” sex – picking the locks metaphorically but also trying to pick the locks physically and get into her pants or under her bra. The great post-pubescent mystery that has to be unlocked.
