This line refers the epic Rumble in the Jungle event, held in the Mai 20 Stadium.

Muhammad Ali, a former professional boxer, was drafted to serve the US Army in the Vietnam War. Ali refused to do this, and thus was suspended from his boxing license and stripped from his title. Ali himself said:

“War is against the teachings of the Holy Qur'an. I’m not trying to dodge the draft. We are not supposed to take part in no wars unless declared by Allah or The Messenger. We don’t take part in Christian wars or wars of any unbelievers.” He famously said in 1966: “I ain’t got no quarrel with them Viet Congs…”

But like the bridge says:

“Everybody gets knocked down
How quick are you gonna' get up?”

Muhammad Ali sure got back up. After he received his boxing license back in 1971, his first fight was the Fight of the Century. Even though he lost that fight, he went on to win a total of six fights that year. Ali finally regained his title in the epic Rumble in the Jungle against the reigning boxing heavyweight champion George Foreman.

A lot of underground artists never get the money or shine they might deserve. The underground hip hop scene is a hard grind, and getting money isn’t easy.

This also reflects on a famous Jay-Z line:

But would you rather be underpaid or overrated?

This is a good example of what aspiring hip hop artists go through. They dream and fantasize too much and never really get there. They aren’t patient enough to wait, because their “fingers been sick of itching they palms”. Itchy palms usually refers to the foreshadowing of a loss or gain of money, but in this case the itchy palms probably refers to wanting money – as if placing money in the palm would stop the itching.
