This line refers to knowing what’s important, knowing when top pick a fight, who to pick a fight for, and when to give in a little.

When Psyonik says

If you gotta fight, you better be fighting for blood

He could be referring to a couple of different things:

1.If you get in a fight, make sure that it’s something worth fighting over- don’t fight over pointless things. Basically:

2.Fight for the right people and things. Blood is often a term used to talk about family, so only fight for family (the most important people in your life).

The second line

And if you gotta compromise, only do it for love

Refers to never giving in to things you don’t believe in. Love is something everyone wants to experience, and you want your relationship with someone to flow smoothly. In order to do so, you have to make deals with each other (compromises) to ensure happiness.

When something goes to your head it usually refers to letting an achievement turn you into a cocky person who thinks they are superior compared to everyone else.

Letting something go to your head essentially makes you act like a different person.

But, this isn’t the case for Schoolboy Q. Q feels that the fame is actually teaching him things, not making him become cocky and/or making him become a different person.

When referring to “hits like this” for Boyder, he is talking about making successful songs.

When Boyder mentions Chris Brown he could also be referring to Chris' successful songs (hits) with songs like Kiss Kiss and Run It.

#But

It is also very possible and likely that Boyder is referring to the incident that is Chris Brown beating Rihanna (which he claims to be a changed man).

So, when it comes down to it, Boyder makes successful songs (hits) just as Chris Brown does and/or makes hits (successful songs) just as Chris Brown hit Rihanna.

While others are spending money on “useless” things (blowing money) GLC is blowing marijuana smoke (strands).

Obviously spending money on weed isn’t a waste to him. But, if you’re someone like Drake (or Birdman/ Lil Wayne) you can have Money To Blow and money to spend on weed.

Bottom line: He would rather spend money on weed as opposed to materialistic things. He uses the term blowing to show others waste of money, and hoe he would rather spend it, which is smoking.

This line partially refers to the previous one.

To try and save your life, you should start praying to survive.

Because Wayne is “turning into Godzilla. By him turning into Godzilla he means he will destroy you and everything around you. Since he will destroy you, you have to pray for any hope of surviving.

In this context “weight class” represents Wayne on another level compared to everyone else.

Wayne would be someone in the heavyweight class (when it comes to the rap game) and everyone else would be cruiser weights (not as big/good as Wayne), or possible even lighter (not any where near Wayne).

An example of a heavyweight boxer would be Muhammad Ali:

(Left)

An example of a cruiser weight boxer would be Marvin Camel:

(Right)

As you can see, Muhammad Ali was way bigger than Marvin Camel. Since Wayne is in a better weight class and he would represent the heavyweight class (like Muhammad Ali) then that means he’s better than all the other rappers, since they represent a lower weight class like the cruiser weight class. (like Marvin Camel).

This line obviously isn’t supposed to be taken too literally. Wayne does mean he’s the best in the game, but he is only 5 feet 5.5 inches tall and only weighs 145 pounds so we know Wayne can only be speaking about his rap skills.

The meaning of an encore is:

A repeated or additional performance of an item at the end of a concert, as called for by an audience.

When an encore occurs, the audience is going to be pleased-since they’re the ones who wanted the additional performance. To show their their appreciation, the crowd will clap.

“Throw shots” and “guns clap” are both terms that mean someone has fired a gun.

Jay Rock makes his guns clap (fires his guns) just as an audience claps when an encore is given by the performer that they are watching.

“Throw shots” could also mean that Jay Rock disses other rappers in his songs, and then may follow up by firing gun shots.

A “whip” refers to a car, and usually, a nice car. If something (like a whip game) is straight, it means that it’s good. Meaning Wayne’s got some nice cars.

One of Wayne’s cars is a Bugatti which he spent $1.8 million on.

Due to Wayne’s very nice Bugatti, I would agree that his whip game is straight.
