If you were a super hero you’d be doing because you famous for helping people. But if your just doing it while its paying off then you would stop doing it once the income stops. Thus saying that he seems heroic while getting paid.

This line can be interpreted two different ways:

• A “gyro” or, gyroscope is tool used for measuring orientation. So by Bronson saying that “barrel revolutions got us spinning like a gyro” he means that the powerful blast from a shotgun got him unable to track where he is, thus spinning. Nice Metaphor Bronson!

• The second meaning is similar to the first meaning, but Bronson can be referring a revolver — which has a barrel that revolves — that has been fired and has the victim spinning like gyro meat.

Swanson is a brand of microwavable dinners.

Could also aluude to Officer Joesph Swanson, off of Family Guy, and how he’s killed many people

Also, but unlikely, might be an allusion to Ron Swanson from NBC’s Parks and Recreation, a character who is known to enjoy cooking beef.

Having your back to the wall insinuates a fear of being backstabbed. This line is an allusion to the fact that he’s distrusting, and is therefore watching out for anyone who may be out to get him.

Parliament is a funk music band that is also allegedly the basis for almost all early hip-hop. This song itself samples Parliament’s music, particularly Dr Funkenstein. It was led by the prolific funker George Clinton, who was in no way related to the president.
