The Source Awards that Kanye attended were held on August 20, 2001. Kanye didn’t become famous until September 11, 2001, the day that Jay-Z released his well-known album The Blueprint, an album that Ye produced several songs for!

A reference to the 2000 film, Almost Famous. In a 2003 interview with The Source, Kanye said this in regards to his relationship with the rest of his Roc-a-Fella label.

Strong words. Obama, who was all about CHANGE, has not changed anything. Similarly Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice have both been in positions of power (Secretary’s of State) and they did not change anything. Why did people expect Obama to be any different? Black the Ripper did not. He believes they are just puppets in the white mans system.

Black views them as ‘house niggas’, these are the slaves who were in the white man’s house doing easy work and were generally treated better, and many of them defended their slave owners over other slaves.

The fact that Obama, before he ran for presidency, was very much pro-Palestine however he gradually switched his position to pro-Israel during his rise to the presidency.
Both Jeremiah Wright and Ali Abunimah can attribute to this.
According to Abunimah, in the winter of 2004 while running for the Senate, Obama told him, “Hey, I’m sorry I haven’t said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race. I’m hoping when things calm down I can be more up front.”

Jeremiah Wright is the preacher of the church that Obama attended. He is quite outspoken against imperialism. Lowkey is saying that he was right that nothing was going to change even with the influence on Jeremiah Wright. When Obama came under criticism for his associations with Jeremiah Wright, he was quick to distance himself.
