He compares the hood to a gutter system:

Just like how every drain has different inputs of trash, the hood has different inputs of people. But it doesn’t matter, because either way the result is the same, just like how all the trash ends up in the same gutter, the people all end up in the same situation: poverty, violence, and death.

And if you don’t appreciate the realities of his childhood growing up in the hood you shouldn’t have listened to the song.

A common tradition in the hood is that you pour out a 40 Ounce bottle of liquor in remembrance of dead homies. In Krizzle’s case, he used to be so poor, that he couldn’t even pour out the full 40 Ounces, because he had to save some for himself as he couldn’t afford to buy more.

Krizzle advises you to cover up your illegal activities by dropping a window curtain on your car, because if you’re caught you will be sent to jail (or up the creek) by the corrupt legal system.

As you can see, Krizzle, like many other rappers believes that the government is responsible for the crack epidemic among blacks, yet still ironically sends blacks to jail for possessing it.

In the hood girls that are so young, they are basically still babies, are having babies of their own, this is because they refuse to practice safe sex (so it’s basically like Condoms were never invented as they are never used).

Because they have no source of income, they have to give the children to their parents, meaning their already poor parents have yet another mouth to feed and siphon off income they could have spent on getting their daughter a college education, repeating the poverty cycle.
