Holds out hand for high five, Scratchy extends his arm and Poochie withdraws his Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show by The Simpsons

Classic 90’s style — the Psych high 5. You were the don of the classroom if you could pull this off. For those who missed this golden era, you extended your hand, ask for a high 5 and then whipped it away causing the person to be severely shamed. Woe betide anyone who was too slow at pulling their hand and caused someone you attempted to psych to make contact.

I'll field that one. Let me ask you a question. Why would a man whose shirt says "Genius at Work" spend all of his time watching a children's cartoon show? Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show by The Simpsons

This is a reference to Star Trek’s William Shatner going bananas at the Trekkies on SNL. Both Shatner and Homer cut straight to the bone, humbling their obsessive, OTT fans who take the show waaaay to seriously. Both Shatner and Homer take umbridge with their fans' clothing and their attitudes to the show.

Most 9 to 5's are hard Shove This Jay-Oh-Bee by Canibus (Ft. Biz Markie)

Shoutout to this song which is also on the album’s soundtrack. Basically 9 to 5’s in an office are pretty tough, pretty draining and generally boring, rather than an out right challenge or filled with danger.

BURNS
Look at them all, through the darkness I'm bringing. They're not sad at all. They're actually singing! (to Smithers) They sing without juicers. They sing without blenders. They sing without flunjers, capdabblers and smendlers! (groaning) Oh, tell Simpson I'm ready to deal.
