Echo chambers existed long before this election. Before Facebook or the internet, your community or town or school or family could be one. How the Social Media “Echo Chamber” Morphed the Election

based on the maps of how the country voted, it seems that the whole place is an echo chamber. urban america voted one way, rural america the other. rural america was able to take the election because of the electoral college. obviously an over-simplification but generally each city/town leans heavily one way or the other.

the national media seemed to drive a lot of that hype, surprisingly. most wolves fans/writers predicted low 40s/high 30s which is still very reasonable. a few espn guys picked them to win 50+ though.
