I hear them using Cobain in vain
You ain’t grew up in the rain
So you prolly ain’t the same
Wouldn’t have a thing in common
If you’d blew your brains
4th Of July by Nacho Picasso (Ft. Jeremy Cross)

A lot of rappers make references to Kurt Cobain, mostly for corny suicide lines. The majority of rappers, or musicians in general, never had the same life as Kurt or knew what it was like to be him. Even if they were to kill themselves via self-inflicted shotgun blast to head, in the same way Kurt did they still wouldn’t have a thing in common with him.

“Grew up in the rain” refers to Seattle’s climate, I think.

Seattle is known for its high rates of suicide and depression, somewhat caused by its constantly cloudy and rainy climate which leads to less exposure to sunlight which is a major cause of seasonal affective disorder (winter based depression), in addition to its already depressing atmosphere. Kurt Cobain grew up in Washington and most likely suffered from depression in addition to his crippling back injury that altogether lead towards his suicide. Nacho’s saying that people who haven’t lived and grew up in this climate likely have no idea what sort of headspace these musicians were in.

“Bastard from a basket” could also be referencing the Biblical story of the prophet Moses. Particularly because this song is from the Exalted album, which is packed with other religious iconography (both visual and verbal).

My head hella cloudy, Robert fuckin' Downey
Jr.,
Bloody Murder by Nacho Picasso

From all the weed and other drugs Nacho does, his mind has become clouded because of the effect the drugs have had on his brain.

The second line is a clear reference to actor Robert Downey, Jr. It’s known that until Downey’s recent resurgence he had drug issues and arrested on several drug charges and many stints in rehab.
