Several ways to interpret this line (and song as a whole):

  • He’s obviously high, and since you can’t get a condo on a cloud, he’s trying to hide not wanting her to stay at his place.

  • Since he’s high, in reality he’s just as bad as she is — see the annotations for the previous lines. He’s accepting of his inherent human vices and muses that if he’s high too then they can both spend time getting high, sinning, together (next line — “Then I guess you can stay at my place”) instead of trying to fight it.

  • “But if I got a condo on a cloud, then I guess you can stay at my place.” He may also be saying “If I have a place in Heaven, then you can stay with me.” He wants her with him despite their shaky relationship. She is his soulmate.(“You’re my Pilot Jones”- You’re the person who takes me places.) She piloted his life until she became an alcoholic and a stoner. But in the end he forgives her anyway because they are soul mates.

  • Or simply since she – the “dealer” – is providing him with a spot in the clouds (getting him high), he figures that they might as well spend more time together.

He’s saying if he finally ends up getting high permanently! without the high’s fading off then using the word guess to proceed the second line meaning she could come over to his condo in the sky since all she ever want is to see him permanently high.

Also.

Let’s take this out of the whole drug picture now, I think he’s being real about a condo on a cloud but ironically meaning when he’s finally financially stable like a made man well established then he can have her permanently staying with him at his own expense to do what ever they want to do without no worries like having a child and living their best lives getting high.
