On a rock, it’s a fact the moss always points to the north direction. It’s the same for Brandon Moss’s bat, it always points out of the park(bad attempt at a joke).

He has a big, big bat and had his first full starting season last year. He put up 30 home runs with 87 RBI’s in 145 games. He’s a solid option at first base and he was a late pick for me at 13th round.

Pedro Álvarez is an absolute monster with unlimited power. He’s only 27 years old and while he may not have the batting average, he will have the home runs and RBI’s.

Third base is a very tough position to fill with limited options. It’s only going to be his fifth season in the big leagues, and I wouldn’t put a 40 home run season past him.

B.J. Upton unanimously won fantasy’s worst player in 2013. He was awful. But it was a fluke year, in his six seasons before that he averaged a .255 BA, 36 steals, 19 HR, 83 Runs, and 73 RBI’s. Those are pretty good stats, and if he hits like he did with Tampa in the strong Atlanta lineup, he could be even better.

It was a low risk high reward pick for me, I got him in the 18th round.

Rios is a five tool player, he can run, and he can hit. He’s 33 but that didn’t slow him down last year. He had 42 stolen bases, while only getting caught 7 times!

He was traded to from the weak, old White Sox team, to a better hitting team in Texas last year. When he went to Arlington, they really sent him on the base paths. He had 16 steals in only 47 games.

I’m hoping for .280 BA, 20 HR, 40 SB, 90 Runs, 90 RBIs.

The Yankees didn’t pay Tanaka $155 million dollars for no reason. While it was somewhat of a risk taking an unproven pitcher, I am confident. The Yankees have an improved offense and if he performs, he could potentially get 16+ wins.

Also, Tanaka’s average draft pick in ESPN leagues is at 72.8 overall pick. He fell late to me in the draft and I couldn’t pass, I got good value at 122 overall pick.

Feliz has been dominant in his career as a closer, I’m hoping that’s the role he will play for Texas this season. He won rookie of the year his first season and was even named an all star closer.

He is a youngin' at 25, and he has a very high velocity nearly reaching triple digits. Texas should win a fair amount of games, the save opportunities will be there.

Corey Hart was one of my big sleepers this season. He missed all of last season after having knee surgery, and it seems he’s a little forgot about. He will be ready for opening day.

The past three seasons he’s played, he’s averaged 29 HR, .279 BA, 83 RBI’s, 87 runs, and a modest 6 steals. Those numbers aren’t bad for a round 17 pick.

The sky is the limit for Simmons who is due to breakout, he’s 24 years old with a ton of upside. He will play, because he is the best defensive shortstop in the league. I’m hoping he will bat leadoff in the streaky but strong Atlanta lineup.

Last season showed some pop in his bat with 17 homers. I know he has some speed too, hopefully if he gets on more they’ll send him running and he will get double digit steals. It may be wishful thinking, but I would love to see 90 runs, 15 homers, .275 era, 10 steals, and 70 RBI’s from the young stud short stop.

Man do I love the tall left hander Chris Sale. While I’m not banking on the wins for him, he will provide heavily in every other category. He’s only 24 years old with a tremendous upside. He finished 5 and 6 in the Cy Young voting in the past two seasons.

Like Cano, he too was on my squad last season after I traded for him.

Yu Darvish broke out in a big way last year, posting a huge 277 strikeouts, and a sub 3.00 ERA. Being in the same division as the Astros is certanly not a bad thing. Going off the top of my head, I believe had had two 14 strikeout games against their weak lineup.

Yu has some nasty stuff, and I believe either him or crazy eyes Scherzer will lead the league in K’s this year, and he is yet another safe pick for the Fóréígñ Aććéñts.
