Aye Verb and Hitman Holla are both US battle rappers.

Verb is often ill-spoken of by Dizaster in his tweets, and was utterly feminized during their battle back in 2013. The same angle was used against him vs Rex.

Hitman Holla is best known for his performance on stage ; his “remix” gimmicks and his wrestler tag kind of moves.

So basically Diz' is calling Tier a bitch (hence the “girly wristband”) who excels in showy performance.

Gilly is attending to Sam’s bruises. It is interesting to note how she uses the same words she used in “The Gift” episode while having intercourse with him.

This serves to show how much she cares about him, and is concerned with his well being, be it affected by battle bruises or even while trying to pleasure him.

The rich in Slaver’s Bay were the masters, and since mass execution was the treatment they earned from Danerys, the common people and only the common people’s purposes have been served by her rule.

Tyrion reminds her of the consequences she had to deal with after the mistake:

  • The remaining masters revolt that lead to Ser Barristan Selmy’s death and Grey Worm’s grave injury.

  • The dispossession of cultural identity that her stringent reform inflicted on the people, hence her succumbing to Hizdahr zo Loraq’s imploring of her to restore the fighting pits. An extreme measure she had to take in the path of blood only to balance out the wrong turn she took in the path of politics.

The number of executed masters measured to exactly 163. The same number of crucified slaves she witnessed on her way to the city.

In Tyrion’s wary assuming that Daenerys might indeed be a terrible person, the logical course would be for her to plan on killing her spouse as soon as his purpose runs dry, as a means to deny him any kind of greedy claims in the future.

However, her answer indicates that she wasn’t set on such plans, but rather hopes that it doesn’t come to that even though she loathes her husband, in Tyrion’s words.

It is that very answer which convinces Tyrion of Varys’s faith in her.

As far as she knew up to this point, Sansa believed that every member of her family was killed, that she was the last of House Stark. This revelation comes as a shocking ray of hope which faintly veils her face as she realizes the fact.

Sansa’s dearest dream was to return home. She entertained that fantasy back at the Eyerie when she built the Winterfell snow castle. Only as the child lord Robin stomped on it, it brought her back to the harsh reality of the ruin that her home has become.
However, learning that her kin still lives, provides her with a renewed sense of identity and belonging in the world.

To “hit the wall” means to meet a discouraging hardship throughout one’s struggle in life. Em encourages his listeners to metaphorically punch through said wall and exceed any limits – just like a boxer would in the 12th round.

Taken in its literal sense, this lyric is reminiscent of the way his character diffuses his anger in “Love The Way You Lie”:

Next time I’m pissed I’ll aim my fist at the drywall

So think with your heart
And it will be healthy

Also called dragonglass, it is said that the smallfolk sometimes call obsidian by another name ; dragonflame. Such origins explain why the white walkers are vulnerable to it, seeing how they already show weakness towards regular fire (c.f. Jon Snow’s episode with the wight’s attack on Jeor Mormont).

The citadel of Oldtown holds a final test for its maesters seasoning ; It involves the impossible task of finding a way to light up an obsidian candle. There is one particular maester known to have a lit obsidian candle in his chamber, and rumor has it that its fire had awoken at the same time as the dragons rebirth into the world.
