Apparently, sex appeal is the only factor that determines whether you matter as an inspiration to women or not. I can’t recall how many times she has said things like this, that no blog site, or platform tries to acknowledge. RG does this too, but they haven’t seen her commentary throughout the years on what should drive a female emcee in this decade. As a huge surprise, most of her advice isn’t based on sexuality or image.

It’s more hilarious when you note, none of the past female icons in Rap said anything of notice to encourage their next generation when being interviewed on “the state of women in Hip-Hop”, yet she’s said to be a bad influence or not matter. It goes to show you, the GOAT’s are simply cowards and don’t really care about their sistren in this generation (If they did, most of them wouldn’t have ghostwriters or “sold out”). They don’t do collaborations, or talk about them in interviews, or appear to be interested overall. Female emcees talk “U.N.I.T.Y.”, but NEVER show it on any level in music, especially on a massive scale.

  • You’ll see it on fake ass “reunion shows” like VH1, but do they ever have plans on making music together? No, it’s just one show of false pride and collective vanity.

There are more pressing issues that go beyond your mere image, or personality as a woman.

Why do they not realize this in Rap?

I actually have to laugh at the lack of effort most of these females have in their so-called “dope mixtapes” that masses claim are better than her career, when if it wasn’t for her they wouldn’t feel the need to PUT OUT material. Most of them can’t tell stories, write songs for baby shit, and their bars……They wonder why they don’t get signed to labels, or land on other famous Rap artist’s project. Females in Rap, generally don’t ever try to capitalize on their full range of skills, or talents.

: To add, how many have their own record label, or would be signed by one ran by a woman who’s navigated the industry for more than 10 years?

The point is, your work ethic does speak for itself as beyond a few retweets or 10,000-100,000 views on any social media platform. You’re not the best because you’re underground, and that goes for any level of notoriety. There’s no correlation between your abilities as a Rap artist, and your level of fame.

Some worked to get where they are (her, Rapsody, etc.), others just want to be noticed for a mixtape, and won’t even bother making albums (about the rest of them, with some exceptions) and have no style of their own.

Rapsody is probably the only other emcee who’s a woman, that I’ve been impressed by mixtape wise.
She’s only released a single album, but it’s nowhere near as good as her mixtapes.

I find this weird, with how much New York despises Trump, why is Nas the only one I recently found to have said on wax with his perspective on him?

Trump is also from Queens like they are, so again where is the outrage???

This is prime “Bait-controversy” questioning, lmfao this kind of question is the one most rappers avoid.
The kind that makes headlines and where users, bloggers, ec. will alter your words, and take your statement entirely out of context.

Yet, they won’t bother reading the entire article or interview in context, just that “one quotation”….

Rap is the only genre where no matter how anyone would answer this, you’re bound to accidentally throw sand in someone’s vagina (or “mangina”), by giving your honest, substantiated opinion on YOUR OWN CULTURE.
Then Twitter let’s the whole world know, as if that was any percentage of the truth to begin with.

Reminder the only other New York artist (in Rap) that got an interview with NYT (who they also fucked up and pissed off, if I recall correctly) was Pac, but soon after he would become the famed West Coast icon.

Seems, New York doesn’t know how to interview their own rappers, unsurprising…..

LMAO, I need to entirely redo this, God this is horrid.

This is like a bad show about Sherlock Holmes at this point, we’re getting closer to the evidence…

To add: Notice since Meek actually spoke the truth, how many famous emcees who used to fuck with Drake no longer will, and will not collaborate with him? Wayne is even looked at differently in this decade, for somehow not knowing.

If you don’t know who’s writing who, why waste your studio time, money and resources on them? Plus, that makes you seem gullible, and uninformed, your fanbase (not Drake’s) abandons you for good and doesn’t ever want to hear you make music again.

RG users actually KNOW there’s more to Brooklyn in the 90’s besides Biggie? OMG, Rap is almost a very interesting genre, when you suddenly realize every city (or borough in this case) has more than one fat ass ambassador running for Hip-Hop candidacy of GOAT.

How about everyone also on YM who’s not Lil' Chuckee?

RG still don’t know how to make decent Nicki threads, whether be it stans, haters or casual listeners.
I wonder what 2017-2020 is gonna be like….

Morons…..unsurprising…wonder why none of those threads go past 5-10 upvotes, but whatever ignorance is bliss, keep trying….
