The sample for this beat comes from Treal Lee and Prince Rick’s Throwed Off (Fuck Everybody).

The track pairs T-Minus with Drake’s go-to producer, Noah “40” Shebib. T-Minus' signature keys and ambient low end form the muscle here, but moody chords from 40 flesh out the mix.

You can hear the sample at 0:54 which is the same drum sound if you listen cafefully:

  • Sanchez’s “One in a Million” built around the distinctive croon which has an reggae sound to it exemplifying the arrogant ignorance that made the Dipset the hottest crew in the Rotten Apple at the turn of the century and you can hear the sample at the beginning of the track:

Check out this video below called Reclaiming the Remix where Rsonist from The Heatmakerz talks about making the beat and he also recreates it:

I see death around the corner, gotta stay high while i survive in the city where the skinny niggas die”.

Which is the same line Juelz Santana says and you can hear 2Pac say the line at 0:12 into the “track”.

Today’s agenda, got the suitcase up in the Sentra Go to room 112, tell them Blanco sent ya”.

Where Juelz Santana also says the same line but with slightly different lyrics and you can hear The Notorious B.I.G. say this line at 0:05 into the “track”.

Kanye West seems to think very highly of him self calling himself the No.1 most impactful artist of our generation.

He has also said that he’s the No.1 Rock star on the planet during a BBC Radio 1 interview that Yeezy achieves a whole new level of grandiosity, suggesting that he’s surpassed Michael Jackson, rap is the new rock, just so you’re up to date and that he plans a foray into the world of architecture.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2T0fMkZoMo

But as fun as it might be to talk about Kanye, nothing proves more entertaining than simply listening to the rapper discuss himself. So, courtesy of the interview with BBC’s Zane Lowe, here are some of Kanye’s best pearls of wisdom. They’re all nuggets, every last one:

Rap is the new rock ‘n’ roll. We the new rock stars, and I’m the biggest of all of them. I’m the No. 1 rock star on the planet.

Jay-Z is more realized than me. More of his dreams and aspirations have come true. You don’t realize I am so frustrated. Like, I’ve got so much I want to give. And I’ve got a million people telling me why I can’t do it, that I’m not a real designer.

I know how to make perfect, but that’s not what I’m here to do. I’m here to crack the pavement and make new grounds sonically and culturally.

I would not be Kanye West if it wasn’t for Michael Jackson. I was able to ascend to massive heights. And I’ve got to a point that Michael Jackson did not break down. I have reached the glass ceiling, as a creative person, as a celebrity and I’ve been at it for 10 years.

I’m learning what I want. This is the reason why I’m working with five architects at a time. The time spent in a bad apartment, I can’t get that back. But the education I can get from working on it is priceless.

I’ve got a very particular specific take on men’s footwear. No one can say I can’t design or don’t know how to design a guy’s sneaker.

I want to do product, I am a product person. Not just clothing but water bottle design, architecture. I make music but I shouldn’t be limited to once place of creativity. I hang around architects mostly. People that wanna make things as dope as possible.

Although “Nike” originally had a deal with Kanye when they released Limited Edition “Air Yeezys”, they placed his “Red October Yeezys” on hold for delaying the process. This goes into why he explains he wants to “create more” because the sneakers were loved and sought out by every sneaker-head and collector out there.

He wants to continue making more but since Nike put the pause on the “II’s”, “Octobers”, along with the “deal” he had earned him little money because he was not a “professional athlete”, only earning a few cents per dollar in profit for every shoe sold. Recently he signed with “Adidas” who will give him the royalties he seeks.

This beat contains 3 samples:

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nat_Adderley’s “Rise, Sally Rise” despite how the credits may read, this musical inferno was all the handiwork of Rakim, who looped and played the drums live over the top which has a jazzy sound to it and you can hear the sample right at the beginning of the track:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yx7yLEg1-x0

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syl_Johnson’s “I Feel an Urge” where the horns and distinctive vocal note which is the noise you can hear at 1:00 into the track while flute and guitar riffs are dropped-in at various points to add an intense urgency to Rakim’s lyrics of fury as he details the relentless pursuit of street credibility that mirrors the exploits of Tupac’s “Bishop” character in “Juice”.

  • Pleasure’s “Celebrate the Good Things” which is the noise you hear right at the beginning of the track which sounds like a horn stab:
