Despite the common Republican narrative that everyone on welfare is a black person who chose not to finish high school and doesn’t want to work, the racial demographic that is most enrolled on food stamps is whites. Ras Kass puts the number of whites on welfare at 6 million.

Poor whites are kept stupid, angry, and racist via their media, politicians, and education so that they will support policies extremely detrimental to even themselves, such as cutting their own welfare benefits. The demagoguery runs deep.

Thus far, the party platform follows the spirit of classic libertarianism, but they actually do not apply this part to the capitalist business structure, an authoritarian power. Internally, they function as undemocratic dictatorships in which people lower on the hierarchy have no power.

The LP does believe in the division of church and state, so that is a fair example of them applying this principle.

This is the key split of the American Libertarian Party from what libertarianism historically meant, which was socialist and anarchist. Libertarian, as it originally meant starting in the 19th century and continues to be used in the mainstream outside of the US and UK, meant freedom from private property.

This essentially makes the party pro-choice.

Interestingly enough, the most well-known member of the party of all time, Ron Paul, is pro-life.

The party’s 2012 presidential nomination, Gary Johnson, was pro-choice to the point of viability.

American libertarians generally support school vouchers for gifted poor students to be able to attend quality private schools.

A Detroit Public School

This falls into the right-libertarian plan to privatize pretty much everything, which tends to punish poor kids who are unable to afford to go to private schools, as the quality of public schools plummets. In practice, this means that members of this political party vote to defund public schools.

Some may argue that private schools are more efficient than public schools because they are better funded.
