Capitalism is an economic system practiced by the overwhelming majority of the modern world that is characterized by private ownership of the means of production, wage labor, and for-profit goals of businesses.
The trade of prostitution is a mirror of this system, where the pimps (capitalists) own the means of production, the capital in the form of transportation and network, while the prostitutes themselves are paid a wage for their labor.
Prostitution is viewed widely unfavorably by the majority of Americans, so Ras uses a bit of shock value in order to bring attention to the evils of capitalism: a system built on inequality and exploitation.
