everyone has to pay the bills. Witness just does it by rocking a crowd. Or your television set.

Witness' is no stranger to the ladies, and songs about them. But this line seems to be implying a deeper love for the tour lyfe and everything that comes with it.

While generally eschewing punch-line rap for a more “shrouded in metaphor” kind of style, this song, and this line, are testament to this being a stylistic choice rather than a lack of ability. When he chooses to, Witness' punchlines hit so hard that they bruise the page.

Witness is hardly Raekwon over here. College educated, white, and skinny, he bucks a rap stereotype or two. His skills on the microphone speak for themselves, however, metaphorically ripping them to pieces.

Winnie Cooper, star in the late 80’s/early 90’s comedy-drama “The Wonder Years”, and her real life counterpart, Danica McKellar, were presumably childhood crushes of Witness. The show ended, and with it, Witness' own “wonder years” ended, and he never got up in that. Tragic.
