Secondly, he uses religious in the context that he habitually puts out lyrics as if it were a ritual or practice.

Jay is saying while we refer to ourselves as “Individuals” we are just secondary products or clones produced or derived from “God” or another source. His main argument is that we can’t use “individual” to refer to ourselves if we as earthly beings are made from another source.
