Y'ar see Child's Play by SZA (Ft. Chance The Rapper) 4

Chance coming in yet again with his animated flow! He pronounces this like an evil villain from the 40’s (as Dave Chappelle nicely puts it.)

The ad-lib is also reminiscent of cartoon villain’s, Chance has referenced 90’s cartoons before. This might be kind of far out there, but it immediately brought me back to the Courage the Cowardly Dog episode “The Clutching Foot” where the villain repeatedly says “Y'ar See”.

Also from the Alien super villan from South Park BabyfartsMcceeb he kept repeating “Yaarrr Seee” after ever sentence.

I'm the only minor minority in priority Home Studio (Back Up In This Bitch) by Chance The Rapper 1

He’s young, black, and in charge!

Still being only 20 years young, he’s not even old enough to legally consume alcohol but he sure raps like he’s been in the game for years now. There definitely aren’t many rappers his age (or even older for that matter) that are able to do half of the stuff he’s doing.

A suggestion to him being the only young black male in priority seating etc? A departure from his earlier situation or that of his peers.

It's fucked up right? That's where I'm at with it
I'm finna crack like a egg hatch, stand back
Mayday by Ab-Soul

It’s crazy to think that even being a “hype man” to Jay Rock on a rap label like TDE would yield those types of results for Ab-Soul still, but just wait. He’s going to blow up real soon.

Hold on, mayday
Ab-Soul, you driving them crazy
Ah-ha! Fooled you
No matter how heavy the situation, we pull through
Yeah, yeah I do it for the love
I do it for ya'll
I do it cause I'm the one
That's it, that's all
Mayday by Ab-Soul

He’s the One!

In short, Ab-Soul is the truth. Despite the obstacles that have attempted to hinder him thus far, he’s pushing through and encourages all who listen to do the same.

It’s obvious (as he’s stated several times before) that he’s does what he does because he generally loves doing it. From the song More of a Euphoria, you can tell that he’s just trying to lift all of us up and make sure we are utilizing our potential to be great, just like he is.

No you weren’t designed to fail
Yes you where meant to attain, everything

But what does it to take to be number one? Mayday by Ab-Soul

Now isn’t that the million dollar question?

Is there an actual fool-proof method in order to be the best? That’s up in the air for question; what we’d like to think though is that Ab-Soul is taking the right steps in doing so.

In the studio with Game
Just soaking up game like he's standing in the rain
Mayday by Ab-Soul

Soulo was in the studio with none other than the West Coast head himself Game!

Being around him was probably not only a humbling experience for Ab-Soul, but also a chance to soak up or retain any advice or tips The Game may offer to him. Good learning experience.

Uh, and please turn your speakers up Mayday by Ab-Soul

Because if there’s one thing Ab-Soul wants you to do, it’s to turn him up some.

Cause 2010 I'm trying to ball nigga
Like shooting jump shots in the mall nigga
Mayday by Ab-Soul

In 2010, Ab-Soul was tryin' to eat!

These two lines were actually later borrowed by label-mate Kendrick Lamar in his song Celebration

In 2010, I’m tryna ball, nigga!
Like shooting jumpshots in the mall, nigga!
That’s a quote from Ab-Soul

Besides everyone knows that 2014 is the real year of Ab-Soul.

Shall I continue? You said yes didn't you? Mayday by Ab-Soul

Truthfully, he doesn’t even care if you did say no (like anyone would really want to), he’s spitting the truth and he’s not stopping for anything.

I'm on this tour bus and I'm fucked up, I got a bad call, Really Be (Smokin N Drinkin') by YG (Ft. Kendrick Lamar) 2

It’s the cycle

Recalling the earlier part of his verse, it’s revealed here that he’s living a type of cycle where he’ll get “fucked up” and something like a kick (in this case, getting a call about a tragedy) will get him back to him senses and start questioning why he’s indulging in the things he doesn’t usually associate himself with.
