Luckily enough the card pool of Hearthstone doesn’t contain too many card with a x in their names! I created a list so that every time I find a “x” in a line I can check if it’s a card and needs to pass or if it’s a multiplier (2x, 3x etc) and needs to be processed.

Storing all the data in a json file makes it easier to analyze it later, especially if I want to use js for an interactive version on my website, use a 3rd party website or whatever.

praw is the Python Reddit API Wrapper and is BOMB! The docs are really useful but the real gold is here, where you can see the full structure of the dictionary the API returns.

If you don’t know what a header is (And there’s no shame in that!) you could see it as the “server signature” of the email. Instead of the time of the computer the mail was sent from, it’ll show the time in which the server received the query and then sent the mail to you, which can’t be manipulated by the user.

Feedback is really important and you don’t always get that at a hackaton; what we did was reaching out to the staff of the company that was on location and heard what they had to say before the pitch. We went back and forth with it and then the lead engineer asked me to shoot him an email with my contacts so he could get in touch in the future. This was already a win basically, which connects to the next point of the blog.
