While “Ones” could be in reference to Nike’s Air Force 1, it’s most likely alluding to another Nike model: the Jordan 1. In an interview with Sway, Kanye claimed: “The Jordans are only popular at this point because of two people: me and Don C. Because Don C was ordering them vintage Jordans when the 4s used to break apart on the sole.”

Ye was also an avid wearer of throwback jerseys. Maybe he’s alluding to the Nolan Ryan jersey he wore in his “Through the Wire” video.

LITTLE KNOWN FACT: Kanye West actually sorta likes himself. Okay, he loves himself. He’s all he thinks about.

Also a reference to Derrick Rose’s game-winning buzzer beater against the Milwaukee Bucks this year where the commentator says

Let me step back and kiss myself

There’s also a De La Soul line that’s similar

Before I kiss myself, I always jump back

Kanye’s idea of being the “Fresh Prince” involves topless pool parties and topless cars parked outside one of the biggest landmarks in Paris.

This isn’t Yeezy’s first visit to the Louvre, and we all know he loves the City of Lights.

Someone with less money than Jay-Z really shouldn’t even be talking to him. A reference to Bay area rapper Too Short who featured on Kelis’s “Bossy.” (This is not a diss, as Too $hort has done songs with Hov in the past.)

There is a lot of wing imagery between these two.

First off, Drake and Wayne’s boss is named Birdman.

“Drake” is a common term for an adult male duck (making Drake a “lame duck” perhaps?)

Also, Drake’s affiliate from his OVOXO group, The Weeknd, has released songs called “Birds Pt. 1 and Pt. 2”.

This also references Pusha’s own record label G.O.O.D. Music, which Drake claimed “wasn’t hood enough”. The symbol for G.O.O.D. Music is a winged angel.

Drake’s OVO clique is known for Red Wing boots, as mentioned here in Nicki Minaj’s “Moment 4 Life” or here in “Thank Me Now” off of his debut album Thank Me Later. The mascot for OVO is also an owl.

Drake even has a tattoo of wings on his back.

However, before Thank Me Later, Drake recorded a freestyle over Page’s “I’m Still Fly.”

The chorus goes as follows:

I’m still fly, I’m sky high and I dare anybody to try and cut my wings

YOU GET IT…
