What makes privacy policies so convoluted? For one thing, they can be repetitive. In just the first page of its two-page privacy policy, this Website’s name appears more than two dozen times. This is quite possibly the chillwave “genre’s definitive song” according to mtvhive.

It’s hard to disagree as it sets the perfect dreamy mood that the genre has inspired, from artists Washed Out, Toro y Moi and Ariel Pink to name a few.

The song was selected for Portlandia specifically because of this – the electronic, airy sampling was part of the late 90s electric craze, while the lo-fi vibe and mood match the “dream of the 90s” theme of the show. It is simultaneously mocking what Portlandia mocks while still being incredible.

just as chill as the instrumentation is on this track, that’s the ambient mood she feels as the thought of love is embraced. It’s a lingering thought that can cause worries; nonetheless, the singer persuades the listener to just let go and realize that you’ve had the answer all this time.
