John Wilkes Booth was a famous stage actor who murdered Abraham Lincoln. As a racist southerner and Confederate sympathizer, unhappy that blacks were gaining some sort of freedom, he hated Lincolns victory with the Union against the confederacy, and his anti-slavery views. So there was ‘murder’ and rage in Booth.
