(I don't smoke crack, motherfucker, I sell it!) Control by Big Sean (Ft. Jay Electronica & Kendrick Lamar) 2

Comparing his lines/verses to the addiction of crack, which he did back in 2010 in “Night of the Living Junkies.”

Also, Kendrick claimed many times he doesn’t smoke weed:

“I used to smoke,” he said. “[Smoking weed] wasn’t ever a dependen[cy for me]. A lot of people use it as a dependen[cy], they wake up in the morning angry [and smoke]. It never was a dependent for me, so it never was a crutch, really.”

Hip-Hop has had a long line of rappers that spoke about how they previously sold crack (Notorius B.I.G., Nas, Jay-Z, etc.), especially during Hip-Hop’s “Golden Era” in the 90’s. In the late 90’s, Mos Def criticized the direction where the genre had taken the subject:

Hip-Hop went from selling crack to smoking it

However, as Kendrick explains in “Nosetalgia”, he doesn’t actually sell crack either; instead, he presents his music as crack

Bitch, everything I rap is a quarter piece to your melon Control by Big Sean (Ft. Jay Electronica & Kendrick Lamar) 2

He’s comparing his raps to the drugs sold by drug dealers. He’s saying that his raps get a brain more high than drugs.

Quarter piece = 7 grams of cocaine.
Melon refers to your brain/head

In addition, a quarter piece is also a .25 caliber gun; His lines blow your mind/head.

And my records show, not even in the Guinness Mr. Carter 2 (New Wayne Verse) by Kendrick Lamar (Ft. Lil Wayne)

The C4 mixtape dropped in 2009.

Lil Wayne has entered the Guinness Book of World Records twice in 2011.

He was first inducted by having the most “likes” on Facebook and now he has the most songs to enter the US Hot 100 Charts by any hip-hop artist, a total of 82 songs. Jay-Z is trailing behind with 66 songs.

He’s still not right about his albums & shows but at least he now got a spot.

Tell me how you feel son. Tell me how you feel son
Tell me how you feel son. Tell me how you feel
West Coast Wu-Tang by Kendrick Lamar (Ft. Ab-Soul)

Another line inpired off Method Man’s Bring The Pain:

Something I could feel son, load it up and kill one
Want it raw deal son, if it’s really real

The flow he uses on those lines is also “borrowed” off the same track, same hook.
