Kendrick continues naming off some of the things that people do to escape tough times. Drugs, alcohol, and sex are all temporary solutions to the problems some face.

His most popular song covers one third of these.

Dogs are known to acquire a lot of parasites living in/on them. Using logic, a shorter dog would be more likely to acquire said parasites.

Just like dogs, Top Dawg Entertainment has pests. (haters and opposing organizations), of their own that they have to deal with. Smaller groups would have a harder time dealing with the pests, but TDE has taken their game to new heights.

“Bark” is also slang for low grade weed. He’s taking it to new heightswhile rarely does he smoke “bark”. Also take note of the multitudes of wordplay. Parasites, (pair-of-sights), can’t see them, and “bark” not only continues the tree theme, but also fits in with dog references. Also “Ents” in god of the trees.

With Ab being a member of the Money Team, it’s inevitable that some people are going to be asking him for some of it. Instead of giving them the traditional “suck my dick”, he gets creative and tells them to suck his “third leg”. Very classy.

Note that “branching out” continues the tree wordplay.

I got three eyes, I got three legs, pick one

Curren$y is known for being unappreciated, underestimated, and just a whole lot of shit that starts with “un”. For instance, he’s underrated, just like most expansion teams. But even the late and great Bulls were a new expansion team at one point. The same Bulls who’s ‘96 team is considered to be the greatest NBA team ever assembled.

When you win a championship, the NBA awards you a ring with your team’s emblem on it. Curren$y is saying that all of these people who are sleeping on him now are going to recognize him once he’s made it to the top where he can flex his championship fingers, or show off his past success and accolades.

Note the double entendre on “championship fingers.” It could also mean Curren$y, one of rap’s bigger stoners, is rollin up them doobs perfectly!

While his father is in jail, he’s out doing the same shit that got his father behind bars in the first place.

YG’s dad was arrested a while back for reasons unknown to the public (most likely gang related). He references his father being locked up several times in this album. He also plays around with the semi-homophone of “pops” and “poppin'”.

Following the theme of the last line, Drake compares his position in the rap game to the current position of NBA prospect and Kansas Jayhawk, Andrew Wiggins. The reference may be a little out of the blue until you remember Wiggins was raised in Toronto. People are calling Andrew Wiggins the next LeBron James, similar to how Drake’s fans see him becoming a future legend in the rap game.

Interestingly enough, Andrew Wiggins is said to be currently deciding between Roc Nation Sports and another agency right around the time him and Jay Z have something escalating. Does this make the sidebitch none other than Jay, hence starting the possible stabs at him throughout the track?

Fun Fact: Andrew Wiggins was on the front cover of a Slam issue with Jabari Parker titled “Young Money: The Game’s Next Superstars Have Arrived”.

Another interesting piece of information is that after this song was released, Andrew Wiggins as well as Johnny Manziel were both drafted by Cleveland sports teams (Wiggens to the Cavaliers and Manziel to the Browns).

Although Andrew Wiggens was drafted by a Cleveland-based team, he has since be traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves
