Playing around with Onomatopoeia, Lean emits the image of him shooting a Glock with the word pop.

What makes this line even more genius is the fact that he both plays with onomatopoeia with the word pop, but also name drops a famous nursery rhyme, named “Pop Goes the Weasel”

His “morphine” may take the form of the drug codeine also known as “lean”.
Promethazine with codeine syrup is used to treat coughs in medicine but when mixed with soda to make the taste nicer, the syrup is abused and used recreationally. It is regularly glamourised by popular culture.

Yung Lean is referring to the Swedish prescription grade cough syrup Cocillana Etyfin, a “Swedish version of lean”. This cough syrup contains ethyl-morphine instead of the classic codeine and promethazine combo.

2003 for Yung Lean is one of the years of his personal ‘golden-age’ of hip-hop. Lean said in an interview that he uses the dates 2000-2003 because of the aesthetics behind them.

Canibus is declaring his project a classic despite the input or beliefs of others.

He thinks due to self-proclaimed top-notch production, rapping (especially in terms of lyricism), and the features (which do include highly-respected and very skilled rappers such as K-Rino and Ras Kass), the project can be considered a classic.

Either he must be confident, or can see into the future. Most likely the former rather than the latter.

To put this into perspective, the latest consoles (PS4 will be used in this example) have an extremely large amount of RAM in comparison to older consoles. For example, the PS4 has 256 Megabytes (MB) of RAM.

Now, let’s do some math:

1 Megabyte (MB) = 1024 Kilobytes (KB)

Therefore, 1024 * 256 = 262144

Something very important to note however is the fact that this 256MB of RAM, is just for background services.

For the actual gaming itself, The PS4 has a whopping 8GB of RAM.
We don’t even need to calculate that to know that’s a very large amount compared to the NES.

Basically, the latest generations of consoles have outstanding (and zero-filled) amounts of bytes more than the NES, which goes to show how far gaming has gone, from running what is the most simplest stuff (in terms of data), to some very complex video games, demanding much of their respective consoles.

Of course, just to put things into perspective, once again.

Canibus is saying that he will kill dragons (old mythical flying creatures of lore) with black magic spells.

Black magic is depicted as malicious magic, oft-used for selfish and/or harmful purposes. It is also at times linked to Satanism.

This might also be a play on the usage of the words black magic, in that he’s not using black magic in the malicious sense, but black magic as in magic literally produced and/or used by African-Americans only.

Perhaps he is like King Arthur or some other great hero?

He’s talking about written raps that could kill any emcee that spits fire. He’s being creative by saying he found a manuscript aka written lyrics that would roast or burn any emcce that spit fire. A dragon spit fire, so he’s speaking in parables, but he’s talking about an emcee that spit fire. manuscript = one of canibus ancient rhyme book. Dragon spit fire = an emcee that spit hot lyrics.
