This is the final section of the song (known as the coda). It begins six minutes, thirty-four seconds into the song and is accompanied by the well-known “doo-doo-doo-da-doo” backing vocals. Stills sings in Spanish which translates to:

How pretty! I’m reminded of Cuba
The queen of the Caribbean Sea
I only want to visit her there
And how sad that I can’t. Go!
Oh go! Oh go!

Here’s Stephen Stills explanation of the existence of the (very different) last part –

The little kicker at the end about Cuba was just to liven it up because it had gone on forever and I didn’t want it to just fall apart. I said, ‘Now that we’ve sung all these lyrics about one thing, let’s change the subject entirely.’ And we did. Even did it in a different language just to make sure that nobody could understand it."

It is very difficult to hear the Spanish because it is overwhelmed by the backing vocals.

Gatsby still struggles to come to grips with the fact that Daisy is indeed married to someone else and not him.

As Daisy asks her little daughter about her guests, the child promptly replies, “Where’s Daddy?”

This is nothing more than a brutal punch to the gut of Gatsby’s already deteriorating psyche. Not only is Daisy married, this little girl that Daisy has produced is not his and belongs to someone else. The small child does not fit into Gatsby’s long planned blueprint of his relationship with Daisy.

Director Christopher Nolan stated that part of the reason to drop “Batman” from the title of a Batman movie for the first time was to highlight the relationship between Gotham’s Dark Knight (Bruce/Batman) and it’s White Knight (Dent).

Harvey is referred to as the White Knight since he is viewed as the classic “knight in shining armor”. Dent is an elected official who fights for justice within the boundaries of the law. Bruce actually believes that Dent is more important to Gotham and more admirable than Batman, because Dent is a hero with a face that everyone knows and looks up to, while Batman is a masked vigilante.

And Batman is the Dark Knight because he sometimes acts like a criminal to help serve justice, and he is a vigilante that has no legal authority to do anything, but at the end of the day his desire to protect Gotham at all costs is just as strong as any elected official.

Nolan describes the relationship:

“[Dent is] this White Knight, this heroic figure for Gotham and yet, under the surface, there’s an anger, a darkness that relates very strongly to Bruce Wayne’s.

Joker knows that killing/corrupting the Dark knight won’t have a huge impact on the citizens of Gotham. Batman isn’t a part of their legal system and some people aren’t even sure if he is on their side. But when Gotham finds out about their White knight’s killing spree the results are going to be catastrophic. All of the criminals Harvey worked so hard to get behind bars will be released when it gets discovered the man who help convict them is a murderer. The streets will be filled with thugs, and Gotham’s “soul” will be crushed.

Note how Joker tells Batman he brought Dent down to “our” level. Joker doesn’t see Batman as some hero, he just views him as a “freak; like himself. Even though society dictates that murderers are the lowest of the low, Joker views himself as every bit of Batman’s equal. Part of what makes their relationship so fascinating.

While Harvey put up very good numbers (3 K’s, one hit) in just two innings, his start was somewhat overshadowed by this:

But it was all good in the end, as Cano’s x-rays turned out negative after he left the game. Was it jitters for the young Harvey? Or * gasp conspiracy * some sweet justice for the hatred of the Yankees that Mets fans have harbored deep down in their core?

Twas no matter for Harvey, whose face is definitely now recognizable, unlike before his start…

Captain America, who also happened to be the NL captain of this Home Run Derby, wasn’t able to get out of the first round. However, his controversial pick of pal Michael Cuddyer proved to be a solid pick. Despite not showing much power, Wright will bat clean-up in the big All-Star game.

It seems David is quite Jordan-esque, displaying the tongue.
