Norm, to me, was the saddest character on Cheers. You never even saw Vera, except when she called…but it seemed like their relationship had disintegrated to the point where he didn’t even want to see her at all. In any waking hours. Why not just divorce? I always wanted to see a back story on Norm and Vera, but it never happened.
