Oddisee is relaying what his ex had told him as she broke up with him. It seems as though their relationship really fell apart and turned into nothing but hostility. This is evidenced by her blaming him for everything that was wrong with the relationship and going so far as saying she could do much better than him.

During the book released by Eminem’s bodyguard, Shady Bizzness, Em’s bodyguard claimed Kim was prone to drunken violence.

I saw her throw a lamp at Eminem on a tour bus, knocking him down. Man, he is terrified of her. She is one tough lady and bigger than him.

“Champ” and “chump” is an example of pararhyme.

Interestingly enough, in the song “Puke,” released in 2004, Eminem claims that seeing Kim made him feel nauseous:

You don’t know how sick you make me
You make me fucking sick to my stomach

This alludes to this verse being written from the perspective of Em’s ex-wife, Kimberley Ann Scott, as she questions the legitimacy of their relationship.

Reference to the song “Elevator” off of Relapse: Refill.

He’s also discussing how it seems insane that he can be complaining when he has so many assets in his possession, such as an elevator in his house.

Per Setlist.fm, Em’s last performance of “Cleanin' Out My Closet” was August 25, 2013, only a few months before this album came out in November.

And in these later renditions, it seems Em would only perform the hook and first verse (dealing with being hated by the public), which is what he did in this video of the song’s final performance. (Then again, he does lead the crowd in a “Fuck you, Mom” chant before starting the first verse…)

In the end, Eminem sacrificed his own personal privacy in order to become famous, a decision he sometimes regrets.

He has discussed the topic before on songs like “Careful What You Wish For” and “Cocaine,” as well as “My Darling”

Oh, but you didn’t know, fame has a price too
That you’re just now seeing the downside to
Lose your best friend from highschool, your wife too
Ain’t even sure if your kids like you
Come off tour, can’t even sleep at night without Nyquill
Become a valium addict, start a rehab cycle

Eminem does not aim his music towards children and does not blame himself for what happens once they hear it (as he has discussed on songs like “Sing for the Moment”), but that does not mean he hopes his music does not touch kids in need. If they hear what he says and it helps them get through a tough time, he’s happy with that result.

Also a reference to the organization Save the Children which Eminem is a supporter of.

This goes back to a few lines prior where Oddisee says, “these niggas half man but they full bitch”. Here, he’s taking it a little farther and saying that they are such girls, they even get periods.

A topic discussed at length by rappers and athletes a like, such as Rick Ross in the song Bugatti.

Typically, one of the first things people do when they make it big is take care of the people who raised them. As shown here, Lil Snupe was one of those people and was happy to finally try and repay his mother and grandmother for what they did.

Your life can end in a split second for any reason thinkable, so because of that, Uptown makes sure to live his life to fullest and always makes sure he says what’s on his chest.

At the end of the day, while he realizes life is short, he wants his words to not be in vein and have a lasting impact on people. He later discusses this again in the song “Do It All.”
