“Ez-winders” is the choice brand of “rolling paper” that is made for the intent purpose of rolling joints
Wiz doesn’t smoke blunts, or cigars filled with Kush. He only smokes papers.
…until you run out of fuel
Double meaning here: You’re going to miss Wiz when he’s gone, and it’s not uncommon to miss a flight (plane).
And man, it sucks to miss your flight
It seems to be a common theme that famous figures are missed more when dead or killed. Examples include 2Pac and Biggie, but outside of rap, Michael Jackson, John Lennon, etc.
If you leave a legacy like Dolla, you might not garner such recognition/love
Apparently Wiz’s haters take every opportunity to spew hatred towards him; trying to squeeze in as much as possible before he dies and spoils their fun
In this instance, “people talkin' down” refers to other rappers who have become famous and now have a gigantic ego (see Kanye West). But Wiz insists he’ll still stay the same person — no matter what
Ahh… the classic “the money and fame won’t change me” myth
I wouldn’t recommend that, ‘cause the wings occasionally tend to ice up and the engine sometimes cuts out at altitudes above 60,000 feet
Unless you hitch a ride in a rocket plane (now THAT’S high!)
Some clever wordplay on Wiz’s part:
Continuing the success metaphor; if you’re rollin' with Wiz on his jetliner, you’re gonna be “flyin' high” (living the good life, compliments of Wiz)
Then there’s the altitude metaphor — if you’re rollin' with Wiz on his jetliner, you’re gonna be “flyin' high” (fucked up, compliments of Wiz’s weed)
