Following the points made in the previous line, rappers rep their record label like it’s a gang, but it’s not reality. Pusha implies that G.O.O.D. music and the rest of his crew has real loyalty. They’d die for each other, whereas YMCMB is full of “bitches.”

Another aspect that makes this hook so potent is the fact that The Dream pronounces the lyrics in a way that makes it so they could be interpreted as “DOWN for you” in addition to “DYING for you”.

This is a reference to Scarface, where Tony Montana asks his former boss Frank “do you know what a chazzer is, Frank?” just before he tells Manolo to shoot Frank. Chazzer (חזיר‎) is the yiddish word for pig. In the context of the movie, it is used as slang for a pig that don’t fly straight.

Earlier in the film, Frank sees an overweight man and says he has more cash than anybody in the club. He calls him a chazzer and asks Tony Montana “You know what a chazzer is?” He explains that

It’s the Yiddish word for “pig.” The guy wants more than what he needs. He don’t fly straight no more.
So, it comes down to one thing, Tony boy, and you never forget it.
Lesson Number 1: Don’t underestimate the other guy’s greed!"

2Pac changes his description of chazzer to mean a nigga that don’t rhyme right.
This is also 2Pac’s way of calling Nas greedy, since he’s trying to be like Pac and live his life. He’s warning him to watch out.

Nas had also included past Scarface references on the Album Illmatic.

“The World is Yours” is the title of the fourth song on the album which is a reference to Scarface.

The second song of Illmatic is titled “N.Y State of Mind, where Nas also referenced Scarface in the first verse:

I’m like Scarface sniffin' cocaine

Prior to converting to Islam, Malcolm X was known as “Detroit Red” due to his ruddy hair color

The Game is most likely refering to Malcolm X’s early days of drug dealing and pimping. Malcolm Little soon moved on to more elaborate larcenies of wealthy families in Boston, for which he was incarcerated. It was during this incarceration he converted to Islam.

A reference to a line from “Dead Presidents”, as well as the song Jay flipped that line into. Since “H•A•M” was the first single from the album, this line was intended to build anticipation for WTT.

All of the wack rappers in the game felt confident about their skills prior to the release of Watch The Throne, but will want to kill themselves after they hear the album and realize they can’t compete with it.
