Your Old Droog
From: Brooklyn, New York // Coney-Island, New York
Once again, one of those cases where Droog just didn’t have enough videos for his own thread. I love the man’s flow and his voice is made for rap. He sounds nothing like Nas to me btw.

UGLY
From: Ventura, California
UGLY’s music is just funny to me. I really don’t have to, and probably shouldn’t, give a fuck when I’m listening to Super Duper UGLY. Idk when the name change gone happen lol.

Aminé
From: Portland, Oregon
I doubted Aminé at first, but it wasn’t until I heard him on Kaytranda’s beats. I still think he needs to collaborate with the producer and/or GoldLink cause that’s the realm where he shines.

Junia-T
From: Toronto, Canada
Whatever JT is doing to crank out music of this quality, he needs to share it with everyone I had to scrounge around to find him. People tell me all the time about other guys that they can just vibe to and when I don’t hear Junia come out their mouth, it’s a thorough disappointment.

Jonah Cruzz
From: Atlanta, Georgia
It’s always a joy to find a person whose music truly reflects who they are as a person. Jonah’s very confident in his abilities, obviously – in turn, this is makes people like me drift to his music when I’ve grown weary of the lo-fi and depressed.

Gallant
From: Los Angeles, California
I have not heard one bad track from Gallant in all of the time that I’ve discovered him. He’s got a small discography so far, and I’m still waiting on his album that I’ve selfishly titled “:(” to make it’s debut; so I can lock myself away and fake a falsetto to.

Innovator Concept
From: Los Angeles, California
I’m not going to lie, I haven’t heard of Innovator Co.’s latest shit, but I’ve checked back at their website and they’ve got some interesting looking stuff there. IC is a pretty enthralling collective, and it’d be a waste to not listen to them.

Azizi Gibson
From: Los Angeles
Azizi is one of the people that I’ve listened to more than I thought I would after I made a thred about him. His songs off of his new project The Last have thoroughly impressed me and most of those songs are on the most played playlist in my phone.

Jahkoy
From: Toronto, Canada
I’ve gotten back to Jahkoy’s recent stuff and he’s got a few gems in his pockets. I honestly still believe that he has some ways to go, but he’s by no means, a slouch in this music shit.

Nick Astro
From: Chicago, Illinois
This is a the guy that unintentionally created the Put Me On Theme Song. He’s doing something a bit different than all of his other peers within Chicago. As a film head, I can appreciate the effort that Nick puts in all his shit. Lots of quality composition in his raps as well as production, and nothing is done without meaning.

UGLY FRANK
From: Tacoma, Washington
Frank has completely mastered his flow. Production wise, he’s got gems under this belt. Lyrically, his rhyme scheme is one of kind. And he’s as funny as he is dynamic. He’s, in my opinion, the best rapper in the state of Washington.

Amir Obe frmly. Phreshely Duzit
From: Detroit, Michigan
I didn’t choose Amir Obe because he’s some particularly soulful or anything. He just has a chill vibe that you can relax to. One of the chillest I’ve heard. And fortunately he’s good at rapping. That’s not a usual quality I’m hearing from chill rappers.

Yahiness
From: Queens, New York
Like I said in the thread, I’ve known about Yahiness for a while and when I found him his first mixtape, was thoroughly impressive.I’m not one to say “he doesn’t get the shine he deserves”, but I found him deep within the cracks of Youtube with like 300+ views, he’s doing much better with his newer songs & mixtape, but hopefully me putting you onto him will help him much more.

King Milo
From: Ann Arbor, Michigan
So King Milo has 2 mixtapes out since I’ve heard about him and I’ve yet to listen to them. I’m somewhat disappointed in myself because Ankh God wasn’t even that bad. Maybe I’m slippin, maybe Milo went into hiding and just pops up with projects every year. If I’m slacking, then the regular rap fans are sleeping majorly.

Anjelihs
Lawrence, Massachusetts
Anjelihs is one of those exceptions I talked about. I think he needs to get one hook hit, and people will finally come out fheir coma on him. His music is perfectly described as a pearl (his voice) that sits on the neck of the sometimes ratchet, celestial woman that is his production. Metanoia is out btw!!

Uno Hype
From: Gaithersburg, Maryland
I checked out Fxck The Hype and I have to be honest, I understand that Uno has potential and everything, but sonically, the mixtape was basic. I’ve yet to hear Be Good, but I’m hoping that he met the hype he shot the middle finger to.

Chaz French
From: DMV
I’m not going to lie, Chaz French completely eclipsed his other peers in his week. It’s no fault of theirs really, I just enjoyed his stuff that much more. I firmly believe that Chaz’s project is the best project of the year 2014, if not Top 3. And just like Cozz, he just didn’t have enough music videos for a full thread for his own.

Greg Grease
From: South Minneapolis, Minnesota
Much of Greg’s music is for the placid, his peaceful beats filled with tranquil pads, bells and drums are fit for hippie stoner and his intricate bars play benefit for any hip-hop head.

Noah Caine
Queens, New York
Noah Caine has this epic sound fit for an NY rapper. However, I feel he can go bigger, maybe with some Just Blaze production he can jump the latter real fast. I just got his new album, Rookie Season. I’m gonna put it on my phone and see how much he’s grown since the Pre-Season.

DP
Virginia Beach, Virgina
I wouldn’t fuck with DP for all of the gold and cash in the Bling Bling video. His music is so menacing, the production is as sinister as his bars. I haven’t seen one interview, but I feel like he doesn’t speak much. He only talks when he has something to say and what he’s got to say is important. Prlly why Designer Casket is taking so long to come out.

Daye Jack
Atlanta, Georgia // New York City, New York
Daye is on a faster track to creating his own sound than most of the guys you’ve seen on this series. Listening to him is something like this: In a poetry club, in the future and outside is a forest, OR on the boardwalk of a beach sipping on a juicebox.

Get Put On Here // Next // Primary Thread

Omen
From: Chicago, Illinois
Omen is the most underrated dude that I’ve ever put on here. I’ve honestly been contemplating giving him a parent thread for Season 4, he would be the only exception from anyone. And this is a complete contrast from the dude that got sign to his same team on this same thread!

Cozz
From: South Central, California
I knew that Cozz would be a success when I first heard him, but I never thought that he and Omen would be on the same team. Cozz also had one of the best mixtapes of 2014. He’s actually the reason I wanted to do Honorable Mentions he was just too good, but at the time he just didn’t have enough music out to make a full thread.

Raury
From: Atlanta, Georgia
And then came Raury, who just like Cozz and Saba put out one of the best projects of 2014. I’m so glad that these guys are getting their proper shine, considering how bad the year 2014 was overall. These guys are some of the highlights of the year. Fun fact: me and him actually went to the same middle school, and I.A.E.N.O.

Formerly known as Celeb Forever, this is a guy that constantly expanding within his music. He’s versatile, he’s saying intriguing things, and the next Lorenzo Asher project is like top 10 most anticipated projects of any of the guys I’ve covered.
