A rather accusatory claim attempted to inspire fear in King.

Henry the VIII was a British monarch who had caused major problems for England, mainly due to his personal affairs. His desire for a son led to the separation of England from the Roman Catholic Church, who would not recognize his annulment when his first (and second and third) wife failed to provide him with a male heir. King Henry is typically being portrayed as a sort of man-whore who basically ignored the finances and well-being of his kingdom.

With that being said, the FBI calls King irresponsible, ignorant, and possibly a whore-monger (read on), as was Henry the VIII.

While King Henry created a rift between religions in England, Reverand King attempted to unify black and white America.

He works really hard on what he does, possibly rapping. Not only this, but the “work myself to death” part also ties in with rigor mortis, a sign that shows muscles stiffening (a sign of death) from working too hard.

Double entendre:

  1. The girl can’t deny it, she loves Rashad.
  2. A mother aborts a baby, not caring for it. Yet she can’t. This is another showcase of the dark tone the album presents.

Both of these can tie up in this sense – a mother aborts a baby, thus in a way showing it doesn’t love it. Yet when it comes to Rashad, he’s undeniable, and his mission (making his music) has to be accepted and respected.

Rashad’s adlib. As Chance has his “IGH!” and ScHoolboy Q his “YAWK!”, Rashad possibly has “Ankh!” This sets the tone of the album and one of the topics over it, occultism.

When Based God is with a girl he wants, he’s all over her, close when in an encounter. She better dance to his music so they can have a good time.

It’s simple. As previous lines have stated, he’s one of the pure artists out there. He be eatin', setting his plot intricately and true. Who asks, who else is doin' it like him? Nobody. If you respond back, who then?

Continuing from the other line, Based God here is stating he got what those fake rappers don’t, money and honor. He’s conscious and thinks a lot, he knows what he’s doing.

#DAYUM!

Isn’t she so good with rhyme schemes? It amazes me.

Bits/Clippings/emitting/splitting/bidding/quitting/benefiting
Even some short consonance in there: better be benefiting

Here, she’s talking about what’s happening in her life, memories and events (bits and clippings). She wants to take them all together and offer them for something better, even though it’ll hurt her; she wants to make life better. She’s willing to pay anything in order to alleviate the pain.

The second line is possibly referring to suicide. Losing = losing your life. If you quit a game while you’re losing it, wouldn’t it not count on you, since you’re not a part of it anymore? With that being said, if she’s in a painful life and she takes it away, wouldn’t it be better since she doesn’t have to deal with it anymore (thus benefiting)?

“Please don’t do it/if one of us goes in, then we all go through it”

Eyes could be seen as the soul, so it might be referring that even though there are tough moments, the other person perseveres and regains their pre-sadness state, taking and enjoying life once again.

Yet to LuzID, life never changes. It’s difficult, a fever or a cold she wants to get rid of. After the suffering it only gets worse.

#Don’t worry Luz, we’ve all been there. I/we know how you feel.
