She takes in what everyone else is saying (to change her; copy by code) yet she keeps messing up, since it’s human nature. Going along with the previous lines which talk about social trouble, she’s trying to be like others yet she keeps stepping in the wrong direction (figuratively = writing typos).

Here, the definition of the word lolly is undetermined, yet it best could mean money.

Like the other lines have said, she’s going through struggle. This could refer to economic problems. She’s mentioned this in other songs too.

So, along with this, she’s going crazy for money in order to provide for herself (or various others).

The way she pronounces libel here is rather different than the previous time. Now, it sounds more like liable, as if what she said was true, she’s committed to change.

Yet this time, she also uses libel in a different manner. Here, she’s using it in a deniable way, as if she’s pointing out the gossip or negative comments spread about her are false.

When she says, “tryna revive the time in the middle”, she’s referring to the times she’s been left out and ignored due to her social stance. Now, she’s trying to gain respect from others and make up for the times she was an “outcast”.

Urban Dictionary’s def. of middle: When you’re being left out of something, that’s “middle”

Sixteens are also known in rap as verses (a 16 = one verse/16 bars).

In the system of the 7 chakras, the 2nd chakra is known by many names. It’s sometimes called the Water chakra, or the Spleenic chakra. The 2nd chakra’s main attribute is the Flow of Creativity.

Venting (in this case, spitting) your spleen is an idiom for expressing anger.

This shows the emotion he’s delivering with the line.

This is also known as the sexual energy center, where, for men, it is the testes. In the previous line (fro can be interpreted as groin) the groin area is where the testes are located.

All in all, what Soulo’s sayin is that he puts every ounce of creativity into his music.

#Salute to the Real Thinkers.

Law and order in the ghetto has deteriorated to a point where pizza delivery companies do not offer services there for the very real threat of being robbed or killed..

The whole idea of the pizza’s delivery is a metaphor between government officials (Little Ceasar’s) and the Vatican, or church (Papa Johns).

You would think Lupe would know better than to mention such plebian pizza chains, being from Chicago, but the point remains the same.

Could the “Papa” Johns and “Little” Caesar also represent the father/son relationships in the ghetto? “Papa Johns never get delivered” meaning the father leaving/never coming back, and “Little Caesar’s never sending pizza out y'all way” is the son’s reaction or feelings towards the absence of his dad.

“The heat” is a slang term for police. In the hood the police make and enforce the rules with little to no oversight, often resulting in false arrests, police brutality, and other violations of rights. They are the all-powerful force of judgement to punish those they deem “evil”. They are the gods of the ghetto.

Reference to prison in the next few lines might imply that the police take gods role of sending the wicked to hell (prison).

The world goes on in on, day by day, yet the day of redemption and change, where only happiness will be established, is awaited and will come.

An alternate possibility is that these lines herald a birth (referenced in each of the song’s later verses) that has yet to come, yet is greatly anticipated: “all awaits the day we are awaiting.” The opening lines' reference to Jesus Christ supports this reading, as the Messiah’s impending birth in the Bible was heralded and was awaited by the Jews for centuries (and still is by many). Likewise, Christians today still wait for Christ to return in the apocalypse.

Of course the nature of the impending birth (or rebirth) in this song, whether it is literal, figurative, divine, or personal, is open to interpretation.

Great examples of alliteration/consonance (letter L)

Fickle/liven/light/libel

She tries to change constantly (being fickle) in order to fit the expectations of others. This is yet another example of LuzID’s social commentary, and can be determined due to peer pressure or many other occasions.

#Peep the definition of libel here Second definition.

As the previous lines have stated, she’s dealing with difficult situations and has to vent to get her emotions out. She tries to be positive and change the negative view people have about her due to her “complaints” or “whining” (in their view, that is).

So many times have they messed with her heart/soul (psyche i soul in Greek). This can go back to the previous lines about life being difficult and the rejection faced upon speaking about her experiences.

Destroying her emotions, the world is different through her eyes as she spends time awake rather than sleeping, aware of what might happen (vigil/might be talking about insomnia probably).

This can ALSO go back to earlier lines which talked about sleep. Now that she is awake at all times, the secrets are less possible to be revealed, since there is no need for an awakening.

Extra note: The number 90, in numerology, represents forgiveness, selflessness, and compassion to a high extent.
