He doesn’t trust any corporate label, so he stays independent. Of course, it goes beyond that: he’s talking about high-level corporate entities in general. Yonas takes an anti-consumerist stance.

The trap is a corner where drugs are sold. So there’s the double meaning of not getting trapped by a label, and of not getting caught selling drugs or in the drug game.

Everyone else who has succeeded is faking it. He is the one who has kept true to who he is.

He’s going to live life to the fullest until he dies and rots.

Fire does burn and destroy sometimes, but it always illuminates the dark. Fire has contradictory connotations of warmth, light, and nourishment, versus destruction. In addition, what burns down usually grows back stronger: fire is essential to life.

First, the train is his train of thought. There is also a clear reference to African American enslavement back in the 1800’s, when slaves used to work building railroad tracks. A runaway slave would have no ball and chain. Yonas is saying he is free in all senses of the word.

He spits fire. A pyromaniac is someone obsessed with fire.

He’s trying to avoid critics (snipers) who will shoot him down with their criticism. So far, he has avoided this and “survived.”

He hates how the fame changes him, and how fake everything is.
