This is actually a reference to the bird Phoenix from Greek mythology. A bird that is long-lived and cyclically regenerated or reborn, hence the line “I came from nothing”. Ezu can be regenerated by arising from the ashes of his predecessor, which in this song is referred to as “haters”. The phoenix is often associated with the sun, which explains his previous line:

And I’m here to shine

The phoenix was also subsequently adopted as a symbol in Early Christianity, just like Bangs is planning to – become a symbol, or god of the entire Christianity and all humans. Ezu is helping Bangs with this operation and is subliminally trying to trick us.

This is not the first time Lil Wayne is having a pussy-meal.

“I Am Not a Human Being:”

Pussy for lunch
Pop all the balloons and spit in the punch

“Dipset 2:”

And pussy for dinner
I eat rappers and call it pussy for dinner

“Turn On the Lights:”

You know what that means, pussy for breakfast

I guess brunch is the only meal left for Wayne to eat. Damn, he’s hungry!
