Jay and Bey didn’t attend Kanye and Kim’s wedding in 2014. Murda (as well as many social media users) believe that they didn’t attend because of how crazy and embarrassing Ye has become. However, Jay-Z clarified why he wasn’t at the wedding in The Carters' song “Friends;” he was trying to fix his marital issues.

In September 2018, Kanye posted a number of Instagram videos talking about his beef with Drake. Around the same time, rumors were circulating that “Kiki” in Drake’s “In My Feelings” was actually referring to Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian. Speaking on the rumors, Ye said:

The fact that there’s people making rumors or thinking you fucked my wife and you’re not saying nothing and you’re carrying it like that, that don’t sit well with my spirit.

In November 2018, an old video resurfaced showing Jill Scott pretending to give oral sex at her concert using her microphone as a prop. Jill didn’t shy away from the act, as her music has always contained sexual elements.

Murda suggests that Jill should teach Blac Chyna because a sextape of Chyna leaked in February showing her performing fellatio terribly.

In episode 2 of LeBron James' HBO show, The Shop, Drake sat down with LeBron to discuss his beef with Pusha T, among other things. In regards to Pusha T disrepecting Drake’s terminally ill best friend, 40, Drake said:

I just believed then and believe now that there’s just a price that you have to pay for that… Someone’s gonna fucking punch you in the fucking face.

In April 2018, in the midst of a string of tweets supporting Donald Trump, Kanye tweeted a selfie of himself wearing a Make America Great Again hat. Ye would go on to wear the hat regularly, even when he visited Trump in the White House. Although Ye said the hat makes him “feel like Superman,” many believe he looks goofy.

Murda makes it clear that he won’t be supporting anything with Kanye’s name on it, more specifically the Yeezy Boost 350 sneakers. He does so by referencing a line from Drake’s verse on French Montana’s 2018 single “No Stylist”:

Yeah, keepin' it G, I told her, “Don’t wear no 350s ‘round me”

In December 2018, Kodak Black visited the Ebro in the Morning radio show. During the interview, Ebro decided to ask Kodak about a sexual assault he was alleged to have committed in South Carolina in 2016. Since the case was still open, Kodak wasn’t allowed to speak about the details of it for fear of incriminating himself. Kodak showed frustration, and decided to leave after the situation escalated.

Nas' album Nasir was released on the same day as Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s album Everything is Love (June 15th). Although Hov and Nas squashed the beef that birthed Nas' legendary diss track “Ether,” some people speculate that Jay released on the same day to spite Nas.

In early July, some paparazzi photos surfaced of Jay-Z vacationing with Beyoncé in Italy in 2016.

6ix9ine’s antics caught up to him on July 22, 2018. TMZ reported that he was kidnapped, pistol-whipped, and robbed by three hooded gunmen. They reportedly made off with $750,000 worth of jewelry and roughly $20,000 in cash. 6ix9ine was able to escape from his captors' vehicle and get a stranger to call 911 before being taken to the hospital.
