During the rule of Nicholas II, during the reign of Kuchma, and Yushchenko, and Yanukovych Press conference on the situation in Ukraine by President Vladimir Putin

Leaving anybody out, Vlad?

I seem to remember just a bit difficulty for the ordinary Ukrainian during Stalin, if by “ordinary” we mean “needs to eat to survive.”

Stalin’s Holodomor, or “death by starvation” suffered by Ukraine, resulted in several million deaths, it is estimated.

Putin’s incomplete list: Nicholas II, last Tsar of Russia; Leonid Kuchma, the second president of Ukraine after independence from the Soviet empire; Viktor Yushchenko, who served as president after the Orange Revolution; Viktor Yanukovych, the recently deposed president serving since 2010.

@kejtax, but he goes back to Nicolas II, then he skips the Soviet era completely.

He says “since the first days of Ukraine’s independence” and I think that’s his clever door not to mention Stalin.

Find a good account of that in the press, and we can add it to the annotation to fill out the explanation.

Rioters from Kiev tried to start riots in Crimea too, but those were quickly extinguished by locals.

Fine, let us stop here for now Press conference on the situation in Ukraine by President Vladimir Putin

This press conference format allows the speaker to potentially select which questions to answer directly and elude that which he would like to avoid addressing. The traditional Q&A format requires the speaker to respond to direct questions one at a time.

Putin does, however, begin answering questions more directly later in the presser.

Agreements of February 21 Press conference on the situation in Ukraine by President Vladimir Putin

The agreement achieved by Yanukovych and the three principal leaders of the opposition was short-lived, if it ever really affected anything at all. There was barely a lull in the unrest following the accord, and opposition leaders were greeted by protesters with cries of “shame!” when they returned to the streets of Kiev.

We break down the agreement here.

An anti-constitutional takeover, an armed seizure of power Press conference on the situation in Ukraine by President Vladimir Putin

Vlad is right on this. It should not be forgotten that, while the ouster of Yanukovych is seen as good to many in the West, it was an unconstitutional coup d'etat by force.

Acting President Press conference on the situation in Ukraine by President Vladimir Putin

Oleksandr Turchynov, of the Fatherland Party, is the interim president of Ukraine, though Arseniy Yatsenyuk, the newly appointed prime minister, appears to be a more powerful figure. The question is asked about the acting president, however, because former president and Moscow-ally Viktor Yanukovych was deposed by pro-Western forces.

The first million is the hardest Tweets With T. Boone Pickens by Drake

When Did Drake Make His First Million?

Drake currently has a net worth of $35 million dollars.

  • Drake was an actor on the show Degrassi, though most speculate that he did not make that much money. The money he did make, he used to fund his music career.

  • He released his first mixtape Room for Improvement in 2006 via his website and official MySpace page. In 2008, Lil Wayne received some of Drake’s music and called Drake, inviting him to fly to Houston and tour with him. Drake signed with Lil Wayne’s label Aspire/Young Money/Cash Money Records in 2009.

  • In the deal, Drake got a $2 million advance. This was years before Drake’s 2012 tweet.

So, in typical Drizzy fashion, the tweet was probably a result of some emo reflecting on the past.
