Dubai is a city in the United Arab Emirates that is known for its wealth and excess. Earlier in 2013, Rozay has did it big there. A sheikh is a term of respect in Arabic that means “leader.”
Doing it like a sheikh is probably as big as it can possibly be done, considering many of them are among the richest people in the world. They have made vast fortunes off of the oil and gas industry in the Middle East.
Sheikhs are known to be fans of all gold everything. This includes white gold cars, gold-bar dispensing ATMs, and much more.

One of the most prestigious awards in amateur baseball, the Golden Spikes Award is awarded to the best player of the year who exhibits “exceptional on-field ability and exemplary sportsmanship.” The award is presented by USA Baseball and sponsored by the Major League Baseball Players Association.
Price said this about receiving the honor:
Wow, it’s certainly a great honor to receive the Golden Spikes Award. To have my name mentioned with some of the greats who have won the award before is something I will always cherish. I spent two summers with the USA Baseball National Team and to receive this award from the organization is really special to me and my family.

The Roger Clemens Award is awarded to the top NCAA Division I baseball pitcher of the year. It was started in 2004, replacing the Rotary Smith Award. This award was discontinued in 2009, with the only two notable winners being Price and Angels' ace Jered Weaver.

Prior to 2009, the Brooks Wallace Award was given to the nation’s most outstanding player. It is now only given to the best college shortstop of the year. It is given by the College Baseball Foundation.

Winning the Dick Howser Trophy is considered the top honor in collegiate baseball. It is often compared to the Heisman Trophy in collegiate football. The trophy is voted on by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and awarded to the national college baseball player of the year.
Price must have wowed them with his insane stats from the year:
- 194 strikeouts (2nd most in SEC history)
- 12.8 strikeouts per 9 innings
- 12 double digit strikeout games
- 2.63 ERA
- 11-1 (only loss coming on a relief attempt on just 2 days rest)

Though he fits the mold of a perfect football Wide Receiver at 6'6" and 220lbs, the closest he’s gotten to doing so was when he practiced before a game wearing the full uniform of his alma mater.
As a Freshman, Price went 2-4 with a 2.86 ERA in 19 games, with 92 strikeouts in 69.1 innings pitched. He was chosen as a Freshman All-American by Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball.
He followed up with another great season his Sophomore year. He set a Vanderbilt single-season record with 155 strikeouts in 110.5 innings. He went 9-5 with a 4.16 ERA and was named to the second-team All-SEC.
Price really took his game to the next level his Junior year. He swept all of college baseball’s awards with an 11-1 record, 2.63 ERA, and 194 strikeouts in 133.5 innings. Click on the individual awards below for more details.
