Green has really found his form as of recently after having a rough past in the league. He was waived by the Cleveland Cavaliers after playing 20 games during his rookie season of 2009. After being picked up in November 2010 by the Spurs, he was assigned to the D-League where he played for two different teams. During the lockout he signed with KK Union Olimpija, a Slovenian professional team, then returned to the Spurs when the 2011 season started.

2011 was his breakout year, where he earned a spot in the starting lineup. But this season where he really showed his talent, as is evident by his playoff explosion.
