Over the summer of 2013 ‘Ye was spotted rocking the all red Yeezy 2 colorway and instantly heads began to turn.
On February 11th, the Nike Twitter account dropped the link for a surprise release of these kicks and in just 11 minutes they were gone and up on ebay with sellers asking upwards to 10k!

Many people went empty handed with this release and were upset about missing out claiming it was unfair on Nikes part. Although, Nike essentially eliminated the use of sneaker bots (programs used to quickly grab online releases before anyone else can) which really made it more fair to the sneaker community.
Unfortunately none of us at Fashion Genius could snag a pair in time before the crazy sell out.
And do we think it’s possible Mr. West’s upcoming sneaker line with Adidas this summer will cause such a craze of hype?
