As a poet, I almost never talk about my personal life in my poems. This would be an exception.

I’m actually a big fan of failure. I think it is place of great abundance. Our capitalist society rejects such thinking, because the ceaseless goal of success and consumption keeps more people occupied and too tired to think otherwise.

I’m being critical of what I see as a lot of contemporary poets using language in sloppy ways just to elicit attention or to follow the trend of eliciting attention.
