Even if it seems like I'm living my dream
I know deep inside that there's more to come; please....
Feel Me by Malik Ferraud 16

To some, it may seem like I’m already living out my dream, but I’m aware that there’s a lot more to come and it keeps me hungry for more.

Groupies wanna fuck but, can't even name a jam
They just wanna be where I am
Apart of my plan, I use to be sittin in the bleachers
Nobody would talk to me, now I'm in the stands
Feel Me by Malik Ferraud 16

Continuing from my last bar about phony people, I also decided to refer to the groupies who just wanna be around me for the wrong reasons and necessarily aren’t familiar with my music just the direction I’m headed in, the limelight. These are some of the same women who didn’t want anything to do with me when I was just a nobody “sitting in the bleachers”.

A confident man, I meet alotta people and I shake alotta hands
I know deep inside all the phonies from the fans
Feel Me by Malik Ferraud 16

Wanted to bring you into the daily things I encounter. Meeting a lot of people, shaking hands but, despite every interaction I can tell the real supporters from the fake people who want something out of me.

Shout out to my momma I'mma get you out the spot
Word to my daughter cuz I give it all I got
I see no competition if you thinking I'mma flop
Look in the mirror cuz I'm everything you not
Feel Me by Malik Ferraud 16

I decided to open up about my family very briefly here. I wanted to let you (the fan) know that I’m working to give my mother a better home, and I make it clear I’ll do anything and everything for my daughter as well by giving it all I got in this music industry. As for the competition, I really see no one in my way and if you doubt me I suggest you look in the mirror because I’m everything you not, and that’s confident.

Evacuation I'm coming for the top
Like pressure in a bottle I'mma pop
Feel Me by Malik Ferraud 16

Pretty much I’m letting these industry folk know they should evacuate the building because I’m coming for the top spot and no one is going to stop me in the process. I then add a clever metaphor saying that I’m gonna “pop off” in the industry, the same way a bottle literally pops off if there’s too much pressure in it.

I'm waiting for my stars to align, racing against time
Face it I'm make it all it takes is dedication
Feel Me by Malik Ferraud 16

In Greek mythology the reference of “stars aligning” usually meant great things were to happen. So basically my reference to this means if everything falls in place perfectly hopefully my ideal outcomes will become reality. In other words I’ve been patiently waiting for my opportunity to come before I break into the music industry. My battle and only enemy at the moment is “Father Time”, (which is why I say I’m racing against time) but, I know with dedication I’m gonna make it regardless — and you should too :)

This poetry is another form of breathing, I would die without it {without it}
Where would I be {be} it's something I need {need}
I might as well confront my nightmares, and live out my dreams...
Nothing Comes Easy by Malik Ferraud (Ft. Emilio Rojas) 17

Malik’s craft means absolutely everything to him; it’s almost as important as breathing. He questions where he’d be in life if he didn’t have music. Malik realizes he should confront the “nightmares”, meaning the negative aspects of chasing a dream, so he can live out the good parts of what the dream will give off.

I'm in a pool full of disbelief, trying to get up out the deep end Nothing Comes Easy by Malik Ferraud (Ft. Emilio Rojas) 17

Malik uses another metaphor saying that he’s in a “pool full of disbelief”. This metaphor means that Malik is baffled by his lack of success at this point in time. Because of that, he’s motivated to “get out of the deep end” of the metaphorical pool full of disbelief.

Betting against myself so I guess I'm facing my odds
That's a risk worth too try what's a wish to you guys
Is something I believe in, never sleepin
Nothing Comes Easy by Malik Ferraud (Ft. Emilio Rojas) 17

Malik realizes his dream is a tough one to attain, so he’s metaphorically betting against himself. But, by saying that, he’s also facing his metaphorical odds and he feels that risk is worth taking. He questions what you guys as the listeners consider a “wish”? Because for Malik, a wish is something that he believes in. And he never takes a break.

Mind over matter those who matter don't mind
See I could watch it from the side but, im not waisting no time
Nothing Comes Easy by Malik Ferraud (Ft. Emilio Rojas) 17

“Mind over matter” is a popular saying. It basically means that you need to focus on the end goal instead of the current struggles. The people who don’t see that vision don’t matter to Malik. Malik also realizes that he could take the easy route and not chase his dream. But that’s not possible for him; he has to achieve his goals sooner than later.
